Learning to see, to understand, to be sensitive to the natural world... An essential step in order to live in harmony with our environment. I invite you to communicate with the flowers that you come across every day without even realizing it and to contemplate them in a new light.
If the language of flowers is inaccessible to us, it is however possible to capture specific signals in the multispectral domain: ultraviolet fluorescence of pollen and infrared saturation of chlorophyll-a are thus two precious witnesses of plant functioning. Associated on the one hand with reproduction thanks to pollinators, on the other hand with photosynthesis generating the oxygen essential to our existence, these two markers form the photo synthesis of the functioning of flowers.
Beyond the scientific interest, the pictorial and artistic interest is not left out. The images resulting from infrared fluorescence are striking in their colours, their textures, their luminosity. Plants become precious jewels that we admire, shiny and mysterious jewels.
In the end, this series offers the viewer a new way of seeing and understanding the plants that surround us.
This project is part of the territory, it applies to the plants and plants that we encounter on a daily basis, to better consider them.
